This lap is recommended for prepolishing harder materials like Spinel and Sapphire, and any materials that don’t play nice with resin-tech laps.
This lap not recommended for softer materials, which might be more efficiently prepolished using resin-tech laps. If you experience orange-peel behavior using this lap, change grit size (up or down – which is why recommend owning multiple copies dedicated the recommended grits), and also increase lubrication.
