Creamway Polishing Lap

The Creamway™ polishing lap is a Zirconium Oxide/ceramic polymer "Just Add Water" lap. The polymer has further been modified to allow exceptionally high oxide loading. In my opinion, this is currently the most "dummy-proof" of Quartz polishing solutions. It is a good bit slower than using an oxide polish on a lap - but also less sensitive to imperfect technique.

Greenway Polishing Lap

The Greenway™ is a Chrome Oxide Ceramic Polymer Composite lap that requires only water. It is a non-fouling (won't pack cracks) lap that will polish many, many materials. Polish-embedded laps are slower than using oxide polish ON a lap, but they are more "dummy-proof".

Redwing Polishing Lap

The Redwing polishing lap is a dual-material lap for advanced faceters. I find it particularly useful for repair work, and especially on Sapphires. The outer ring is copper, and the inner ring is BATT material. Charge the outer ring with a pre-polish size diamond (I use 3k), and charge the inner ring with a polish grade (I use 50k). You can pre-polish a facet and then polish it with zero mast height adjustment.

Skyway Polishing Lap

The Skyway™ is a refractory alloy ceramic/polymer composite polishing lap. It is made on a full-thickness aluminum base, and machined on both sides for flatness. The Skyway is an aggressive and fast polishing lap for the feldspars, peridot, beryls, quartzes, (and especially the noncrystalline species like opal), garnets, tourmaline, tanzanite. Spinel, topaz, and zircon polish faster on the Skyway when "boosted" with a little alumina.
